My skills as a journalist and videographer are constantly changing and evolving. Below are a few skill sets I either excel in, am working on or hope to start. Please continue to review this page as I update it frequently the more experience I get. It's important to note a few basic skills were left off the list below. To get an idea for my full list skills, check out my LinkedIn page.

Editing Software
I was initially trained to use Final Cut Pro when editing packages at Oklahoma State and have since been trained to use Final Cut Pro X. However, I have been using the Adobe Creative Suite for two years now on my personal computer and enjoy editing with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop. I've also used Photoshop to make print/digital materials for advertising.
Camera Equipment
I have used a variety of camera equipment when shooting video. I was trained on a JVC at my university, but have really taken to the convenience and quality of DSLRs. I personally own a Canon 6D and frequently use that to film. At my internship during the summer of 2014, I became proficient using a Canon 7D.
Social Media
As you might have noticed at the bottom of each page, I have links to all my social media sites. I am on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Soundcloud and Google+. I'm a frequent finder of memes and gifs as well as hours of hilarious cat videos. However I mostly use social media to keep up with breaking news and the latest #toptrends. Feel free to connect with me!

Skills

Writing
Writing is at the root of my passion for journalism. I am well versed in AP and Broadcast Style. I'm also comfortable with story boarding and freelance work. On a rainy day I love to sit and read or write personal pieces.
